We know there are loads of books, blogs, conferences, podcasts, seminars, social media, videos, workshops, etc., with information and resources. All of this content can seem endless to navigate through. Worst of all, getting your hands on exactly what you need for the unique and diverse needs of your school, staff, and students is for sure a challenge.

We prioritize practices, strategies, and resources that effectively promote access to high-quality education and fair treatment of all students, especially disadvantaged students, students from culturally diverse backgrounds, and students who are farthest behind.

We want to level the playing field for disadvantaged students, students from culturally diverse backgrounds, and students who are farthest behind. Therefore, we examine disparities related to equity issues facing schools and offer solutions.

We incorporate a strategic mix of culturally responsive approaches and educational technology in our professional services. This ensures teachers know students’ needs beyond the books and can provide equal opportunities for their students to have access, participate, contribute, and thrive in the learning environment.

We help teachers build more trusting relationships with their students and bridge cultural gaps in the classroom. Teachers are better equipped to prepare all students for successful future outcomes and honor the differences students bring, especially disadvantaged students, students from culturally diverse backgrounds, and students who are farthest behind.
The Equity and Excellence in Teaching Professional Development Series examines equity issues facing schools today that relate to:

But more specifically,
CEO of LCT-E Learning Solutions, award-winning educator, National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT), International Speaker, and Best-Selling Author.
As an educator and professor for pre-service and in-service teachers, I know exactly what it is like to want quality relationships with my students, parents, families, community partners, administrators, and colleagues. I also know what it feels like to have disengaged, unmotivated, and underachieving students. They once sat in the back of my classroom with their heads lowered and voices silent.
Sadly, I experienced these lows and failures (growth opportunities) regarding relationships, instructional practices, assessments, and more. But I also experienced the highest of highs and great success in my teaching, with my students and stakeholders, and in my school setting.
In fact, the EQUAL methodology was born from these experiences, opportunities for growth, successes, and so much more. I took the lessons I learned and the extensive research I have done and continue to do as an expert in the field to design a framework that examines disparities related to equity issues facing schools, offers solutions, and positively impacts schools and districts across the globe.

My unique experience, diverse expertise, and deep empathy allow me to help educators embrace and implement culturally responsive instructional methods and digital tools. They, in turn, prioritize diversity and inclusion and improve their students' achievement. Furthermore, my dedication to equity and excellence in teaching has allowed me to serve over 30,000 educators worldwide using our methods. To say I am honored to do this purpose-focused work is an understatement.
As you can see, I am genuinely passionate about helping schools increase student achievement, enhance teacher instruction, and prepare their students for successful future outcomes. I also have a relentless drive to ensure the educational needs of all students, especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds, are met, and their gifts are cultivated. That is why I am committed to equipping teachers with the tools, strategies, and framework they can immediately implement in their schools and classrooms.
Teachers will leave this professional development series with the evidence-based practices they require to successfully meet their students' social, emotional, academic, and cultural needs.

Teachers worldwide have shared how we have served them. One of the ways is by helping them implement responsive teaching approaches and technology-rich activities like multimedia storytelling and digital portfolios. By doing this, teachers were able to tap into their students’ strengths and allow them to show their learning in diverse ways.

We helped teachers increase their student's writing scores by 70% by implementing unique solutions for students who were not engaged. We designed opportunities for virtual field trips and author chats/interviews for student to dive deep into the writing process, learn from experts, and see writing modeled in a new way. Students, especially disadvantaged students, students from culturally diverse backgrounds, and students who are farthest behind, needed these innovating and inclusive approaches to the traditional content.

We helped over 30,000 educators globally implement strategies that fostered equity and diversity, including thousands of teachers from the fourth largest school district in the USA, Miami-Dade County, through our coaching, professional development, and online programs.
