5 Steps To Achieve Equity & Excellence in Teaching

Here is what to expect from lessons in this course:

1. Lesson 1 provides tips for building community on the first day of school, so you can contribute to the success of the overall school culture, set an inclusive tone, and impact students positively. 
2. Lesson 2 walks you through the ways you can diversify your teaching practice and hold the space for diverse cultures and voices to be shared and represented.
3. Lesson 3 exposes you to some ways you can boost your students’ management skills to deepen their thinking skills and adjust their behaviors.
4. Lesson 4 guides you on how to creatively involve stakeholders in your teaching to contribute to students' success. This activity is bringing in community experts and role models.
5. Lesson 5 discusses an equitable assessment practice, gamification, which you can implement for students to share their learning with choice, voice, and authenticity.
